Our breeding program

At Tux Goldens, we are dedicated to breeding healthy and happy puppies. Our breeding program focuses on genetic health, temperament, and conformation to the breed standard. We take pride in our work and strive to produce puppies that will be a perfect fit for your family.  We provide ongoing support and guidance to our puppy owners to ensure a smooth transition for both the puppy and the family. We are always available to answer any questions or concerns. 

All of our puppies are raised by Becki and Micah, (a great mother/daughter team) with love and care. We follow the Puppy Culture program to socialize, train, and give individual attention to each pup. They are exposed to different sounds, smells and experiences to help them develop into confident and well-mannered puppies. We provide all necessary vaccinations and deworming before sending them to their new homes. Puppies will be microchipped, leash, crate and potty training ready, and the litter will be AKC registered among other things.

We are committed to breeding only healthy dogs that meet breed standards. Our Goldens undergo genetic testing to ensure they are free of any hereditary diseases, and they are also tested for physical issues that could be inheritable. We carefully select breeding pairs to produce puppies that will be healthy and have desirable traits, using predictive tools to narrow risk. All dogs are susceptible to health issues, be it inherited or environmental, but by using a correct strategy, together with all the research available to us, we are using due diligence to reduce the most common ones in our breed.

The intent of our program is to create wonderful service dogs, therapy dogs and family dogs that will live long and healthy lives. We owe that to the breed. 

Cowboy and Owyn are beautiful dark Goldens. With Owyn showcasing some sweet curls and Cowboy's wavy flowing feathers, their babies will be gorgeous dark red beauties! Cowboy's owner has been an excellent hobby Golden breeder, and she chooses great pedigrees for her lines. Owyn is the most relaxed Golden I've had the joy of knowing, and I'm hoping her sweet, calm disposition is passed on as well as Cowboy's field line genetics!
